At first glance, chatting with each other, eating snacks and sneaking peeks at their iPhones seemed of paramount importance on Wednesday at Pittsfield Community Television. But when the cameras started recording, the students drilled down on issues important to them, from school course materials and dress codes to violence and racism across the nation.
